Abstract
People have an innate need to connect with nature to improve their physical and mental health, productivity and well-being, which is known as a love of nature. To meet this need to connect with nature in the modern built environment, the principles of what is known as biophilic design are followed. Most modern trends in design tend to pay attention to the nature as an important component of interior design. Children’s skill development centers also need to design spaces that look at the natural ecosystem outside to increase children’s focus and provide an enjoyable environment for them, as the design of spaces should allow children to see changes in the natural ecosystem to reduce stress and pressure. The problem of the research lies in the designer's lack of interest in the important role of nature for the child, which helps him to develop his skills, and led the children to use the technology and the virtual interactive application, which affected psychologically and physically negatively on children. Hence, the research aims to apply the concept of biophilic design as one of the interior design trends, and use it to design centers for the development of talented children's skills, which are in harmony with nature and the surrounding environment, thus reflecting positively on the gifted child. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach to achieve the goal. The research came out with several results, the most important of which is that natural environments are generally preferred over built environments.
