Discovery Learning Strategy as a Resource for Developing Interior Design Basics Education

Abstract

Recently an attempt appeared to implement the latest strategies in education. The general trend has become towards active learning and Modern education strategies are concerned with making the learner able to process and retrieve information, as the primary product of the educational institution. As faculty member, his great role acknowledges that he is the planner, implementer and facilitator of the educational process, using modern teaching strategies. One of these strategies in education is the “Discovery Learning Strategy”, because of its Effective role in discovering skills and variables in an attempt to know its impact on the process of developing teaching the basics of interior design. Research hypotheses;
The existing research assumes that the use of the “Discovery Learning Strategy”during the process of teaching the basics of interior design leads to develop that process and its transformation from memorization to active learning also, its reflection on the designs submitted by the students. Research Methodology: Descriptive analytical method; Deductive method. Search objective: Develop the process of teaching the basics of interior design Using “Discovery Learning Strategy”. Results: Activating the “Discovery Learning Strategy” helps to develop the process of teaching the basics of interior design; Discovery has an effective role in communicating the Principles and basics of interior design to students during learning basics of interior design; Discovery learning strategy helps to discover skills and facts and use deductive or inductive logical thinking to reach inferences that lead to the development of innovation and creativity.
