Abstract
Interior designer creates spaces that serve different human activities and necessities, there is no doubt that design, material and economy trinity embodies mutual relationships with a great degree of complexity which prompted interior designer to reconsider interior design message, interior design can’t be applied just to meet functional needs, as art and function problems exist in interior design work.
Consumption of environmental resources problem has exacerbated as a result of recent economic and environmental changes, which constituted a shortage of basic materials compared to earth population, and thus increased the amount of waste, which forced governments to take measures to confront this phenomenon.
Recycling waste process has become one of the most important sustainable methods. One type of such waste is agricultural waste which represents a great challenge in Egypt as it requires a huge budget to get rid of it, from here interior designers role appeared in creating environmental solutions that enable him to benefit from these wastes after recycling to become a useful product that meets society needs, there are pioneering industrial experiences in Egypt, such as Nagaa Hammadi factory for fiber boards production from reeds, but it’s currently exposed to losses as a result of marketing problems.
