Abstract
Pharaonic civilization attracts the attention of the most famous fashion designer. So, they inspired designs of their evening dresses from pharaonic symbols. Smart clothing represents an amazing development in the field of fashion to add features and other functions to improve human well-being. Among the latest innovations in smart clothes are luminous clothing, which use luminous chemicals, optical fibers, or other lighting methods. There are a lot of researches study luminous clothing. This research collects between authenticity in heritage of Pharaonic civilization, and contemporary in Luminous clothing technology.
In this research, a training study was applied to final year students in the department of ready-made garments at the Faculty of Applied Arts at Damietta University. After studying the pharaonic symbols and inscriptions that will be inspired by it. Luminous evening dresses which inspired by the Pharaonic civilization were designed and manufactured as part of their graduation project. Some designs were made and ten designs only were selected. These ten designs clarified the idea of research and express the pharaonic civilization and the genius of the ancient Egyptians in addition to the various modern technology.
The fourth design is the best according to opinions of experts in total evaluation, next the third design, next the eighth design. Designs characterized by matching modern fashion lines, with retention the atmosphere of Egyptian pharaonic civilization. Designs also characterized by richness of aesthetic values which inspired from pharaonic civilization. Fabrics characterized by suitability of pharaonic inspiration, designs, and aesthetic values.
