Abstract
Innovation and technological advancements have led to increased consumption of non-renewable materials, particularly metals like copper and aluminum. The design of metal products is crucial for addressing resource depletion and promoting the circular economy. To prevent waste and facilitate a transition to a circular economy, industries must extract and manage these materials correctly. Circular design of mineral products must be planned in accordance with the principles of the circular economy, focusing on recoverability and renewal throughout the product life cycle. This includes reuse, disassembly design, and recycling paths.

Permanent materials are essential for accelerating the circular economy, as they can be recycled almost indefinitely, reducing the environmental footprint. The research problem aims to answer the question of how metal product design can enable the circular economy and develop a strategy for designing circular metal products in accordance with the principles of the circular economy. The research follows a descriptive approach and aims to study how to benefit from the circular economy and link it to metal product design. The results indicate that disassembly and reassembly strategies are more suitable for recycled metals and materials
