Abstract
Construction and development projects in the country facing a major problem due to the increase in the cost of importing natural raw materials, resulting from the liberalization of the pound’s exchange rate. This is the Egyptian market and the reduction of its value, as well as the monopoly of a small number of importers of these materials, which leads to the depletion of These resources are in the long term, and the research problem is the lack of application of standards Sustainability of raw materials for urban spaces in the cities of the regions, which leads to the presence of some negatives in them, and the use of sustainable cement reinforced with fiberglass as a traditional material only, and the lack of interest in processing it to become a sustainable material that is not harmful to the environment. The research aims to overcome these problems by studying the possibility of providing alternative raw materials that are manufactured locally and are sustainable so that they can be used in these projects, by monitoring the criteria for selecting sustainable raw materials in the Green Pyramid evaluation system, The current elements of Banha City Corniche are in accordance with these standards to identify the negatives present in them, and to research the possibility of developing the current situation by using sustainable cement material reinforced with fiberglass.
