The Impact of Digital Technology on the Visual Artist’s Style

Abstract
The artistic and style identity is considered fundamental features in any artists’ life, which they strive hard to convey their ideas through an appropriate expression style. This comes after considerable effort and study of various artistic styles, as well as drawing inspiration from nature and past art civilizations. The artist aspires for his work to become a reflection of his artistic identity, different and distinct from others. It is worth noting that many art critics seek to classify the style and artistic identity of contemporary artists. On the other hand, the world of technology is evolving steadily and rapidly in all fields, especially in the field of digital art. Considering that the creative artist has his own approach and artistic style, continuous development necessitates keeping pace with this advancement, exploring and being influenced by it. The digital world offers artists and designers a new world free from the constraints of the physical world. Traditional design and drawing processes for murals and surfaces have been altered due to the impact of digital technology. Many contemporary artists resort to this technology and digital software not only for drawing but also for developing ideas. Therefore, the following questions are raised: Can digital painting influence, negatively or positively, the artist’s style? The research aims to discover the impact of digital painting on the artist’s style, through practical experimentation with the digital material and reaching an important result that considers digital painting an important tool that develops the traditional style of the visual artist.
