Abstract
Environmental materials are an important resource in the field of arts, particularly in ceramics education, due to their diverse potentials in production, manufacturing and the creative process. Additionally it is not an easy, as each material possesses unique properties and characteristics that present challenges. However, these challenges also provide opportunities for designers, artists to explore innovative uses, adding aesthetic value to their artistic works. This can be achieved through experimentation, and technological techniques that align with community needs. With the increasing emphasis on sustainability, its connection to the environment, there is a heightened focus on how to effectively use natural environmental materials across various fields, including ceramics. This opens avenues for exceptional artistic creativity by introducing innovative and sustainable ceramic products. The research problem is framed around the question: How can some natural environmental materials be innovatively employed in ceramic products to achieve a balance between artistic creativity and environmental sustainability? The researcher hypothesizes the potential to integrate these materials into the design of ceramic products within both educational and training contexts, thereby enhancing the abilities of designers and artists to adapt to diverse materials. This adaptability paves the way for innovative designs that align with contemporary developments and promote environmental sustainability. The research relies on an experimental methodology, utilizing the researcher’s experiences with students in the practical framework of the study to produce innovative ceramic products using selected natural environmental materials. Additionally, a descriptive analytical approach is employed to examine the materials used and describe the students' works.
