Abstract
The field of design is one of the fields that become more successful and influential and achieve the desired purpose of using it when merging different branches of arts. In this research, one of fine art style was used, and benefited from it in the field of textile design, which is mixing colors in a random way to obtain the color effects generated from this mixing. This research was applied to third year students by teaching design subject - Department of Spinning, Weaving and Knitting - Faculty of Applied Arts - Beni Suef University. By mixing a number of colors ranging from (4-6 colors), obtaining a color background for the textile design, and inserting motive units with this background to obtain a modern textile design. The proposed idea encouraged students to innovate and acquire practical skills that would help them to show their ability of thinking about solving the problems in their specialization field, and develop new design ideas with using other arts. Implementation some designs from students work, of the third year, with implementation style (double weave), which are suitable for use as upholstery fabrics.
