Abstract

In the world of art, there are always transformations that affect on art. Interactive art is one of these developments. It has gone through a journey through time between duration in which humans were the focus of art, and the idea of artwork was not complete except through man’s interaction with it as an integral part of it, reaching duration that sought to deconstruct human nature based on artificial intelligence, robotics, and others, which affected the nature of human interaction with artwork based on this technology, and thus reduced one of the roles to either the role of the audience or the artist during the design process. Is it possible to benefit from this technology, or might it have a negative impact? This is what makes us shed light on the problem represented by fears of replacing humans in the design process and the response to interactive art and its reflection on the human position in society, and the impact of the consumption of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and others of enormous energy in data centers on the environment. The research aims to reveal the influence of interactive art on different technologies throughout the ages and its reflection on humans, and the possibility of benefiting from artificial intelligence technology, augmented reality, robotics, and others in developing interactive art. The research follows the historical inductive approach to identify the differences between the impact of humanism and post-humanism on interactive art.
